The One And Only Koh Cheng Jin.
HELLO i am
Koh Cheng Jin. I am currently turning 15 this year. I am a girl, from
SOTA's MUSIC FACULTY :D and
SNYO's V2/V1.I love God and Life, and friends are very important to me. I love Beethoven and Plum blossom too. Plum blossom thrives in winter, and I admire their endurance, like those of Beethoven's. :)
Current favourite composers:
Mozart: Music that allows my soul to wander around, (joyful music) always never fail to put make me happy, (dark music) never fail to make me ponder about Mozart's other character which is not commonly seen.
Beethoven: Music that allows me to know him better, and to see how music is the best form of expression that should be hold in high reverence.
Tchaikovsky: Music that allows me to realise that...life= music, and romantic music are not always mushy like korean dramas' music. It can be dark too.
Bach: Music that (similar to Mozart) allows me to experience a roller-coaster ride and being in a forest with polyphonic animal/nature sounds.

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. ~Author Unknown

So, june holidays are starting soon. Time went by so fast, and now it's nearly half a year or Year 4.
I was reading the chinese rendition of Hellen Keller's autobiography which she published herself on the MRT, and got a little teary after reading only a few pages of it. She had only seen and hear the world in its entirety for 19 months as a toddler before she contracted an illness and went both deaf and blind for the rest of her life, and I would never imagine how dark and quiet her world is. How scary. One of the people who encouraged her and taught her about the colours and sounds of the world was her lifelong instructor and companion, Anne Sullivan.
One chapter was about how her teacher taught her about the concept of love when Helen was a child, with her teacher's quote:
“Love is…
Something like the clouds that were in the sky before the sun came out.
You cannot touch the clouds, you know…
but you feel the rain and know how glad the flowers and the thirsty earth are
to have it after a hot day.
You cannot touch love either…
But you feel the sweetness that it pours
into everything.”
This is by far the best explanation/definition of Love I've ever come across. The most imaginative, most simple, and most beautiful description of love. Intended for the understanding of love from a child's perspective. A child. Yes, a child is full of love. Love is intangible, but the magic lies in the fact that we are aware of it. To rain with love. Drops and drops, gushing down passionately with full radiance of a waterfall. To rain with love. To feel, without the need of seeing or hearing it.
Just a simple and short post for today. I'm tired.
Good night.
